New Students
Congratulations on your decision to change your life! Whether you are a new student or existing student as have been on hiatus for a while we hope you will find everything you will need to know to begin or continue your amazing journey of Bikram Yoga. The most important person in the world is you and you deserve the best possible start, so read this information at your leisure. Bikram Yoga is a preventive and therapeutic yoga, developed over 30 years ago. It was scientifically designed to systematically address every part of your body through a series of 26 postures over 90 minutes. It was developed for beginners, yet it is still challenging enough for advanced practitioner. Bikram Yoga is practiced in a heated room with mirrors.
The heat allows for greater flexibility, minimizes muscle strain, reduces the chance of injury, promotes cleansing of the body and builds stamina and endurance. The mirrors enable body awareness, so you can refine and deepen your postures with easy self-correction.

What do I need to know for my first class?
The room is heated to 40 degrees so be prepared to sweat and work hard. The class is designed for all levels of fitness and age groups. If you have an injuries or special medical conditions please let our front desk staff and instructors know.
What to wear?
Wear the least amount of lightweight clothes that you are comfortable to stretch and sweat in. Remember to bring a change of clothes for after class
Food
Come to class on an empty stomach. Try and refrain from eating heavy foods at least 2-3 hours before class.
Water
Come well hydrated for class. Drink plenty of water before your first class. Doctors recommend min 8 classes of water per day. We have bottled water available for purchase at the studio. Fresh young coconuts also available. The best form of electrolytes, great to replenish any minerals.
Mats and Towels:
We provide complimentary mats and 2 towels. (Shower and practice towel)
Come early Come at least 15 minutes before the class start with your waiver form completed. Either download here or complete one when you come to the studio.
